Jimmy was born October 28, 1953, in Vita, Manitoba. After finishing his schooling at Shevchenko School in Vita, he moved to Winnipeg and went to work at Versatile Mfg. He worked for Versatile for 35 years until they closed their doors. He then worked for Kitchen Craft for 10 years before retiring.
He was predeceased by his parents, Bill & Elsie Mateychuk, and two brothers Peter & George.
He is survived by three brothers, Bill (Darlene), Jarvis (Roxanne) and Dennis (Betty), friend Barbara, sisters-in-law Emily and Marilyn, and numerous nephews & nieces.
James passed away on Saturday, January 29, 2022, at the Riverview Health Centre with his family by his side. Rest in peace, everlasting memory.
