I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that day and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for His appearing. 2 Timothy 4:7 Anna was born on November 17, 1928 to her parents, Cornelius and Anna G. Dueck in the RM of Hanover, MB. Anna came to know the Lord as a young lady and was baptized on July 7, 1946. Anna married Ben P. Plett on May 2, 1948. The day after celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary, Anna was admitted to the hospital where she was diagnosed with cancer. After only four weeks, the Lord called Anna home on June 17, 2008. Anna is survived by her loving husband Ben, 9 daughters, 6 sons and their families, 3 sisters and 6 brothers. She was predeceased by her parents, one son, one grand-son and one great-grand daughter. The family would like to thank the staff at the Steinbach Hospital and the St. Boniface Hospital for their sensitive care. Viewing will be Saturday, June 21, 2008, at 7:00 p.m. with a devotional at 7:30 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel. The funeral will take place Sunday, June 22, at 3:00 p.m. at the Evangelical Mennonite Church, Blumenort, MB, with interment at Blumenort EMC Cemetery. Donations may be made to Union Gospel Mission.
