In tears we saw you sinking,
We watched you fade away,
You suffered much in silence,
You fought so hard to stay
You faced your task with courage,
Your spirit did not bend
But still you kept on fighting
Until the very end
God saw you getting tired,
When a cure was not to be,
So He put His loving arms around you,
And whispered, Come to Me
So when we saw you sleeping
So peacefully, free from pain
We could not wish you back
To suffer that again
In God’s own time, we will meet again
The family would like to thank the staff of the Grace hospital for trying to make Pat’s last days more comfortable. Special thanks go to Pat’s cousins Cindy, Debbie and families for all of their time and efforts; also Terry& Emily.
Should friends so desire they may acknowledge Pat’s life and passing by lending their support to the Winnipeg Humane Society.
