Abe Friesen, age 80, of Grunthal, MB, formerly of Paraguay, passed away on October 5, 2016, at Bethesda Regional Health Centre, Steinbach, MB. He is survived by: his wife Maria; four daughters, 12 sons, four sisters, two brothers and their families. He was predeceased by: his first wife Eva, two sisters, six brothers, two sons, one daughter and seven grandchildren. The viewing service will take place on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, 162 Hwy 52 W., Steinbach, MB, with a devotional at 7:30 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Sunday, October 9, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB, with a viewing prior to the service. The interment will follow at the New Bothwell Sommerfeld Church Cemetery, New Bothwell, MB. If friends desire, donations in memory of Abe can be made to assist the family with funeral expenses.
