Peter S. Harder
1937 – 2006
With great sadness we announce the passing of our husband, father and grandfather, but it is with great joy that we announce that he has been healed. Peacefully, with his family at his side, Peter S. Harder, 69, of Steinbach formerly of Kleefeld, went home to be with his Lord and Saviour on Saturday, May 27, 2006.
He will be lovingly remembered by his soul-mate of 40 years, Anne; children, Bev (Paul) Sharples, Ron (Phyllis) Harder, Janet (Jeff) Friesen, Ken (Sarah) Harder; grandchildren, Sarah, Lisa, Ryan, Marissa, Justin, Kristin, Kayla, Keara, Karlee, Dean; mother-in-law Mary Toews; and brother and sisters, Kay Harder, Ann (Charlie) Gawley, Harry (Anne) Harder, Lena (Art) Bartel, Ed (Lena) Harder; brother-in-law Walter Heinrichs. He is also survived by one sister-in-law Margaret Toews and four brothers-in-law, Henry (Erna) Toews, Pete (Anne) Toews, Johnny (Hildegard) Toews, James (Sandi) Toews.
Peter was predeceased by parents; Henry K. and Katharina Harder; father-in-law, Henry S. Toews, three sisters, Maria Harder, Aggie Enns, Susan Heinrichs; brother-in-law Jim Enns; nephew Jerry Martens; niece, Kathryn Toews; grandson, Cole Friesen.
The family would like to send a big thank you to palliative care for all of their help.
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day - and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for His appearing.” 2 Timothy 4:7-8
Viewing will be held Tuesday, May 30 at 7 pm with a devotional at 7:30 pm. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2006 at 2 pm at the Kleefeld Evangelical Mennonite Church with interment at the church cemetery.
