Peter Loewen Peacefully on June 2, 2006 at the Steinbach Bethesda Hospital, Peter R. Loewen, passed away at the age of 98 years. Left to cherish his Peter’s memory are his wife Tina, children Lorraine (Wesley), Edmer (Helen), Gladwin (Tina), seven grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren. Peter was predeceased by his first wife Mary, grandson Ken, three brothers and four sisters. He was born in Blumenort, Manitoba on November 26, 1907 and farmed one mile west of Steinbach for most of his years. The family wishes to thank the staff at Bethesda Hospital for their compassionate and loving care given to Peter over the last year. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 7 at 2:00 pm at the Steinbach Evangelical Mennonite Church followed by interment at Heritage Cemetery.
