Peacefully on Mon, Aug 21 our sister and aunt passed away at the age of 84 at Rest Haven Nursing Home. Nettie was predeceased by her parents Martin and Helena Kehler, brothers Peter Kehler of Paraguay and Ed Kehler of Steinbach, sister Cathy Kendall of BC, sisters-in-law Helena Kehler of Paraguay and Dora Kehler of Steinbach and brother-in-law Willie Fast of Winnipeg. She will be missed by her brothers and sisters Abe (Mary) Kehler of Steinbach, Mary Fast of Winnipeg, Helen (Harvey) White of Phoenix, USA, John (Agatha) Kehler of Niverville, Harry (Norma) Kehler of Steinbach and brother-in-law Gordon Kendall of Cranbrook, BC and sister-in-law Jean Kehler of Steinbach as well as many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Nettie was born on the farm in the Hanover Municipality and later moved to Steinbach. She loved to travel to BC and Minneapolis to see family. She loved to be with her family. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to all the staff at Rest Haven. We love you and will miss you, our dear sister and aunt Nettie. Viewing will be held at Birchwood Funeral Chapel on Thurs, Aug 24 at 7 pm with a devotional at 7:30 p.m. The funeral will be held at the Silberfeld Chortitzer Mennonite Church on Fri, Aug 25 at 2 p.m. Interment at the church cemetery.
