Rev. John P. Loewen of Blumenort passed away at Bethesda Hospital in Steinbach at the age of 85. He is survived by his wife Helen, two daughters, five sons and their families. He was predeceased by one daughter. Viewing will be held at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach on Sunday, October 8, 2006 at 7 p.m. with a devotional at 7:30 p.m. and at the church prior to the service. The funeral service will be held Monday, October 9, 2006 at 2:30 p.m. at the Blumenort Evangelical Mennonite Church with interment at the church cemetery in Blumenort.
