On Wednesday, February 9, 2000 at the Bethesda Hospital, Katharina Dueck of Fernwood Place, Steinbach, MB. passed away at the age of 80 years. Funeral service was held at Birchwood Funeral Chapel on Sunday, February 13th at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor John M. Wiebe officiating. Interment followed at the Family Plot at Randolph Cemetery. Katharina was born on December 8, 1919 in the R.M. of Hanover where she was raised and received her education. She helped out on the family farm. On May 12, 1940, she was baptized upon the confession of her faith in the Chortitzer Mennonite Church, Randolph, MB. by Bishop Peter S. Wiebe. Predeceased by her parents, 5 brothers and 5 sisters. She leaves to mourn many nieces and nephews.
