Abe Hildebrandt passed away peacefully Monday, November 27, 2000 at the Vita Hospital. He will be fondly remembered by his children Ernie (Diane), Les (Aline), Dennis (Anita) and Ted, grandchildren Richard, Kevin and Amber, brothers, sisters and numerous relatives. Abe was born into a family of 11 brothers and sisters and was raised on a farm north of Stuartburn, Manitoba. In 1955 Abe began a 36 year career with Manitoba Pool Elevators. In 1963, Abe and his family moved to a farm near Roseau River where he would ultimately retire in 1990. Funeral service will be held Friday, December 1, 10:00 a.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, 150 Penfeld Dr. Steinbach, MB. Reception immediately following service at Roseau River Park. Private interment at Stuartburn Sommerfeld Cemetery. Viewing will be held Thursday, November 30, 7-8:00 p.m at Birchwood Funeral Chapel and prior to the service.
