Bertha Bartel was taken from us suddenly on December 4, 2000. Bertha was born on December 2, 1941 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She is survived by her husband Peter; five children; Crawford (Jody), Alice (Bruno), Farrah, Ritchie (Michelle) and Hamlin (Debra) ; eight grandchildren, Matthew, Emily, Tiffany, Wayne Jr., Brianne, David, Ashley and Zachary; four sisters, seven brothers and many other relatives and friends. Bertha took great pride in being a homemaker and caregiver. She considered raising of her children to be her greatest achievement. She had a strong faith in God and was as active member in her church. She will continue to touch all of our lives. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of her children and grandchildren. She may no longer be with us in body but her spirit will live with us always. The funeral service will be held Saturday, December 9, 2000 at 10:30 a.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel with Pastor Darnell Plett officiating. Interment at Grunthal Cemetery.
