In sorrow we announce the sudden passing of our son, brother, cousin, uncle, great uncle, and nephew, on December 22, 2000. Perry was born June 7, 1951 to Aldemar Aarhus and Merle Aarhus in Vita, Manitoba. He is predeceased by his grandfathers and grandmothers, uncles and cousin. Left to cherish his memories are his parents, sisters Mavis (Ernie) Druzyk, Lila Aarhus, Lorraine Mitchell (Scottie), special friend Doreen Campbell and family, numerous uncles and aunts, cousins, a niece and nephew and 2 great nieces. Perry had a great love for the outdoors. He worked with construction companies for many years. Perry liked to play cards and visit many of his family and friends. Special thanks to Phil and Kimberly Delorme and the rest of the search party, the Bethesda Hospital, St. Boniface Hospital, Steinbach Emergency Medical Service and the local RCMP detachment. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Children’s Wish Foundation. The funeral service will be held on Friday, Dec. 29, 2000 at 10:30 a.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel with viewing ½ hour prior to service. Interment will follow in the Norwegian Cemetery.
