Obituary of Peter Dyck

It has been the will of our heavenly Father to take from us my beloved husband, and our father and grandfather Peter Dyck from this world into eternity. He was born in the village of Reinfeld near Winkler, MB. Peter is survived by his wife of 42 years Susan, son Jim and wife Angie, granddaughter Kara and grandson Ryan, daughter Laverna and husband Carmine Sossai, granddaughter Karlee and grandson Brandon. He will also be greatly missed by 1 brother, 4 sisters, their spouses, and many nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his parents, 1 brother, 2 sisters and 1 nephew. Peter was a loving father and proud grandfather. He spent a big part of his life making time for those in need at the Union Gospel Mission as Executive Director for 21 years. He served as an usher in the church and volunteered with the Messiah and other church functions. He was always ready to lend a helping hand, and give guidance to anyone. Peter, together with his wife Susan, enjoyed traveling, visiting with family and friends. In the past few years the daily coffee outing with friends, which he enjoyed, seemed to become more difficult. Peter was a spiritual man and was ready for his journey. The funeral service will be held Thursday, Dec. 28, 1:00 p.m. at Calvary Temple, 440 Hargrave St. Viewing will be at Calvary Temple, Buntain Chapel, 400 Hargrave St., Wed. 7 – 8:00 p.m. with devotional to follow. There will also be viewing 1 hour prior to the service. Interment to follow.
