<p>Gertruda Penner, 74, of Grunthal, MB., passed away following a lengthy illness on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at Morris General Hospital, Morris, MB.</p> <p>She is survived by five daughters, three sons, forty-four grandchildren and sixty-three great-grandchildren.</p> <p>Gertruda was predeceased by her husband Erdman in 2011, one son and one great-grandson.</p> <p>She loved to garden and did so as long as she was able.&nbsp; Gertruda also had a great love for animals.</p> <p>A come and go viewing will take place on Tuesday, August 27, 2019, from 7:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB.</p> <p>The funeral service for Gertruda will take place on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at 2:00 at New Bothwell Sommerfeld Church, New Bothwell, MB.&nbsp; Burial will take place at the church cemetery following the service.</p> <p>The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at Greendale Estates in Grunthal and to the nurses and doctors at the Morris General Hospital.</p> <p>Donations in Gertruda&rsquo;s memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba 10 &ndash; 120 Donald Street; Wpg., MB R3C 4G2.</p>
