Jacob J.W. Friesen passed away peacefully March 19, 2001 at the Grunthal Menno Home, aged 90 years. Left to cherish his memory are sons Jake (Helen), Herman (Nettie), Peter (Sarah) of Bolivia, Abe (Aganetha), Isaac of Alberta, Dave (Betty) of Alberta, 38 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and son-in-law Cornelius Wolfe of Alberta. He was predeceased by his wife Margaret in 1964, two daughters and one son. Jacob was born August 10, 1910 in Hague, SK. He married Margaretha Heide in Cuauhtemoc, Mexico in 1934. In 1957 they relocated to Canada. During the last eight years he lived at the Menno Home in Grunthal, MB. The funeral service was held Friday, March 23, 2001, 1:30 p.m. at the Reinland Mennonite Church, Grunthal. Interment at the Grunthal Cemetery.
