Obituary of Jarvis Chubey
<p>Jarvis Chubey passed away suddenly, at the Bethesda Regional Health Centre, Steinbach, MB., on Monday, August 26, 2019, at the age of 65.</p>
<p>He is survived by his siblings Lawrence (Marilyn), Elsie Kathler (Doug), Audrey Lakusta, Dennis (Karen); his eight nieces & nephews and 12, almost 13, great nieces & nephews will miss their fun-loving Uncle J’s stories and the many adventures they had with him at Uncle J’s farm.</p>
<p>He was predeceased by his parents, Dan and Susie, brothers-in-law Larry Hopkins and Father Henry Lakusta along with his favorite uncles Morris, Sam, and Bert.</p>
<p>He was a man who loved the simple things - family and farming. His sense of humor was incredible. Everyone who met him loved him, and he meant so much to our entire family.</p>
<p>Jarvis was born in Rosa, MB., and farmed there all his life on the family farm. He was especially proud of his herd of outstanding Charolais cattle.</p>
<p>His faith was very important to him. He was a lifetime member of the St. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church and served as Church Elder and its President for over 20 years where he always had a tale to tell. If anyone needed a helping hand Jarvis was always there to help.</p>
<p>The prayer service will be held on Monday, September 2, 2019, at 7:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB.</p>
<p>The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 3, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB., followed by the burial at Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Cemetery, Rosa, MB.</p>
<p>Donations in memory of Jarvis may be made to Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Cemetery fund, Rosa, MB.</p>
