<p>Elmer Judson Smith was born May 8, 1946 to Russell and Velma Smith in Clinton, Missouri and passed into Glory at Bethesda Regional Health Centre, Steinbach, MB., on Sunday, September 8, 2019, after a lengthy illness.</p> <p>He is survived by his beloved wife Marlene Goertzen, two daughters and their husbands, one son, one stepdaughter, five grandchildren, one brother, two sisters, numerous brothers and sisters-in-law.</p> <p>He was predeceased by his parents.</p> <p>A farewell service for Elmer Smith will be held on Thursday, September 12, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB., with interment to follow at a future date.</p> <p>If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Seven Oaks General Hospital Foundation Renal Health Program 2300 McPhillips St Winnipeg MB R2V 3M3.</p> <p>Special thanks to the doctors and nurses of the Seven Oaks Dialysis Unit, Southern Home Care, the paramedics who attended Saturday evening, and the doctors and nurses at Bethesda Regional Health Centre Emergency Department.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
