John G. Friesen of Steinbach, formerly of Chaco, Paraguay, passed away at his residence on Saturday, October 21, 2006 at the age of 64. He was predeceased by his parents Martin and Elisabeth. Viewing will be held at Birchwood Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, October 25 at 7:00 p.m. with a devotional to follow at 7:30 p.m. and at the church prior to the service. The Funeral service will be held at the Chortitzer Mennonite Church, 479 Hanover St, Steinbach on Thursday, October 26 at 2 p.m. with interment at the Rosengard Cemetery. If friends so desire donations may be made to assist the family with funeral expenses.
