Judith Thiessen Judith Thiessen of Steinbach passed away at Bethesda Place on Saturday, October 28, 2006 at the age of 91. She is survived by her children Jake (Margaret) of Blumenort, Ben (Eleanor) of Mitchell, Helena (Wilhelm) Martens of Kelowna, John of Steinbach, Peter of Mitchell, Eva (Abe) Friesen of Arborg, Susan (Menno) Plett of Mitchell, George (Jackie) of Rosenort, Henry (Justina) of Rosenort, Ike (Kathleen) of Steinbach, Judy (Harold) Loewen of Steinbach, daughter-in-law Susanna Thiessen of Steinbach, son-in-law Peter Froese of Mexico, 70 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Bernhard in 1975, son Abram, daughter Sarah, son-in-law Ben Loewen, daughter-in-law Mary, and five grandchildren. Viewing will be held at Birchwood Funeral Chapel in Steinbach on Tuesday, October 31 at 7 p.m. with a devotional at 7:30 p.m. and at the church prior to the service. The funeral service will be held at the Blumenort Evangelical Mennonite Church on Wednesday, November 1 at 2 p.m. with interment at the Blumenort EMC Cemetery.
