Peter Barkman, of Steinbach, passed away Thursday, November 2, 2006 at the Bethesda Hospital at the age of 90 years. He is survived by his wife Margaret, five daughters, three sons and their families; Margaret’s 8 children and their families as well as by three sisters and their families. He was predeceased by his first wife Helen and one son in infancy, one brother and four sisters. Viewing will be held at Birchwood Funeral Chapel on Sunday, November 5 at 6:30 p.m. with a devotional at 7 p.m. and at the church prior to the service. The funeral service will be held at the Blumenort Evangelical Mennonite Church on Monday, November 6 at 2 p.m. with interment at the church cemetery.
