Martha Harder of Steinbach passed away Friday, November 3, 2006 at the Bethesda Hospital at the age of 70 years. She was born in Paraguay where she met and married David P Harder in 1955. They came to Canada in 1968, residing in Steinbach, Winnipeg and then back to Steinbach in 1981. She leaves to mourn her children Eva (Gray) Ross of Edmonton, AB, Mary Penner and Rob Thomas of Winnipeg, Susan Penner of Steinbach, Liese (Bob) Friesen of Grunthal, Martha (Grant) Toews of Steinbach, Ed (Audrey) of Steinbach and their families as well as a few siblings in South America. She was predeceased by her son John in 1960 and parents Peter J. R. and Helena Funk in Paraguay. Viewing will be held at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach on Tuesday, November 7 at 7:00 p.m. with a devotional at 7:30 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Birchwood Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, November 8 at 1 p.m. with interment at Heritage Cemetery.
