Surrounded by her five children, Susanna Funk peacefully went to be with her Lord on Monday, December 4, 2006 Susanna was born April 9, 1921 in Lowe Farm to Abram and Susanna Esau. She was the last surviving member of all her siblings. On November 4, 1941 she married Henry A. Funk and after a few years they settled to farm south of Steinbach for over 33 years. She was predeceased by her husband of 54 years in January 1996, one son-in-law and one grandson. Susanna is survived by her children: Esther (Henry) Harder, Betty (Jake) Reimer, Henry (Anne) Funk, Rose (David) Matlock, Martha (Brian) Goertzen; 16 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Viewing will be held at Birchwood Funeral Chapel on Friday, Dec 8 at 7 p.m. with a devotional at 7:30 p.m. The funeral service will be at Christian Fellowship Church, 417 Hanover St, on Sat, Dec 9 at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mennonite Central Committee Thrift Store 409 Main St., Steinbach, R5G 1Z6
