Anne Rempel (nee Andres) of Dauphin, beloved wife of Edwin went to be with her Lord Jesus Christ after a struggle with cancer. She was born May 3, 1928 in Hague, Saskatchewan and passed away in Niverville, MB at 12:48 a.m. on Dec 15, 2006 at the age of 78 years. In 1936, Anne moved with her family to Fork River, MB where she lived until she married her lifelong companion, Ed Rempel on August 29, 1954. Together they had four children: Juli (John) Driedger, Jan Rempel (Steve (Grundy), Ed (Carla) Rempel, and Al Rempel. Anne is also survived by ten grandchildren: Jami (Jason), Jodi (John), Joy (Derek), Jerilyn, Seane, Kyle, Charmayne, Blake, Katelyn, Mitch and five great grandchildren: Malia, Avery, Sophia, Josh and Reid. Anne loved to cook, sew and quilt; proven by the many quilts she made for each member of the family. Gardening was also a very important part of her life. She especially loved to share all the bounty of her garden with family and friends. She was very faithful mother and always put her children first. In her later years, attending garage sales became a passion. As a result of her passion for garage sales, she helped furnish her children’s houses with antiques and unique relics. She will be lovingly remembered and missed by her family and friends. We would like to express our thanks to Dr. Krahn and nursing staff at Bethesda Hospital in Steinbach and Anne Plett and the Palliative Home Care staff that helped care for her in her last days. She died peacefully at home with her family by her side. Funeral Service will be held Wed, Dec 20 at 2 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, 150 Penfeld Dr, Steinbach, MB with interment in Heritage Cemetery.
