Peacefully on January 2, 2007, with her family by her side, Susie passed away at the Steinbach Bethesda Hospital. She was born December 5, 1914 in the Ukraine to David & Aganetha Redekop and immigrated to Canada in 1926. Susie was predeceased by her husband Henry J. Hildebrand, daughter Frances, son-in-law Ed Fuchs, three brothers and one sister. Susie is survived by son Henry (Mary) Hildebrand, daughter Roseanne (Wally) Ens, daughter Erna Fuchs, son Rudy (Tina) Hildebrand, daughter Alvera (Jake) Hiebert, son Art (Deanne) Hildebrand, son Leonard Hildebrand, daughter Ruth (Clarence) Braun, 25 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. She is also survived by one sister, one step sister and one sister-in-law. A special thanks to all the home care support staff that loved our mother and helped care for her in the last few years. In talking to the family about things they remembered about Mom (Oma), one memory in particular was the wonderful Faspa’s she prepared for guests and family. She loved to set up her best china and took pride in serving up all our homemade favorites. Another one of her passions was her love for flowers and gardening. We remember her interest in regular visits to the Assiniboine Park Conservatory and her special trip to see the tulips in Pennsylvania. Viewing will be at Birchwood Funeral Chapel on Saturday, January 6th at 7:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the Elim Mennonite Church, 85 2nd Street S., Niverville, MB on Sunday, January 7th at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be at the Niverville Heritage Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 200 - 6 Donald Street; Wpg., MB R3L 0K6
