Michael Marynowski was born August 18, 1935 at Caliento. He left us January 16, 2007 with his family at his side at Bethesda Hospital at the age of 71. Mike was predeceased by parents Joseph and Lily, his brothers Bohdan and Morris and son-in-law Russel Siwicki. He will be missed by his loving wife Lorraine of 45 years of marriage; his children Elsie Siwicki, Bill (Judy), Danny (Pam), Valerie (Bert) Nault, Lilly (David) Sewchuk; 15 grandchildren Conrad, Pam, Clayton, Jody, Desmond, Brent, Deserie, Stacey, Deena, Lindsay, Travis, Seaira, Geordan, Riley and Leon; brothers Edward (Ann), Alex (Olga) and sister-in-law Olga. Mike worked hard throughout his life. He had a job in the bush loading boxcars with cordwood, planted trees in Sandilands, built houses for Building Products in Winnipeg and farmed all his life until his retirement. Dad was a very friendly, kind and loving man. You could not leave without coming in for a cup of coffee and conversation. He had a love for hunting, ice fishing, gardening and his apple trees and grape vines. He loved playing his violin and the harmony it brought to the house. He also played for weddings in his earlier years. Playing King Pedro and Canasta was a weekend game Dad would not miss. Making perogies was a favorite past time, as was going visiting or just going for a ride. He also made jokes and nicknames for his grandchildren. He will be sadly missed but not forgotten. Prayers will be held at Birchwood Funeral Chapel on Friday, January 19 at 7 p.m. The Funeral Service will be at Birchwood Funeral Chapel on Saturday, January 20 at 2:30 p.m. with burial at the Zhoda Community Cemetery and reception to follow at the Zhoda Hall.
