Charlotte Wanita Rogalsky died peacefully on Monday, February 5, 2007. Charlotte was born in Winnipeg on June 18, 1971, the first child of Peter and Louise Froese. As a young person Charlotte loved her friends, music and camping. Her youth was also marked, however, by the death of Charlotte's father in 1987. After completing high school, Charlotte attended Winkler Bible Institute where she met Jamie Rogalsky. They were married in 1992 and lived in Winnipeg where Charlotte worked with Youth for Christ. In 1996 Charlotte and Jamie moved to Winkler for one year, working at Winkler Bible Institute, before moving to Steinbach in 1997. Charlotte and Jamie eagerly welcomed the arrival of each of their children. Josiah Peter was born in 1998 followed by Carissa Marie in 2000 and Emma Louise in 2004. Charlotte found much joy in caring for her family and is remembered especially by her children for the kindness and love she showed. In March of 2005 Charlotte was diagnosed with breast cancer. Despite the challenges of the two years that followed, Charlotte refused to allow herself or her family to be defined by the disease. Charlotte's all-consuming passions during these years were her love for God and her love for her family, and her desire was that others would see the glory of God in her life. Charlotte is mourned by her husband Jamie, their son Josiah and their daughters Carissa and Emma; mother Louise Froese; brother Jeremy and his wife Christie; brother Ivan and girlfriend Carla; grandparents Lynda Dyck, Peter and Margaret Froese; parents in law Eleanore and Paul Rogalsky; brother and sister in law Tim and Deb and their children Nathan, Mark, Lois and Philip; brother and sister in law Steve and Jennifer and their children Anna, Christina and Madelyn; brother in law Matthew and fiancé Jennifer. In lieu of flowers, donations will be gratefully received for the Charlotte Rogalsky Memorial Fund, in care of Steinbach Credit Union. Funds will be directed toward the education of Charlotte and Jamie's children. Visitation will be held at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, 150 Penfeld Dr, Steinbach on Thursday, February 8 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Southland Community Church, 190 Hwy 52W, Steinbach on Friday, February 9 at 10 a.m.
