Suddenly, but very peacefully on February 28,2007, after a brief illness, our beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, Dora Dyck of Steinbach, passed away at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg at the age of 64 years old. She is survived by Bill, her loving husband of 44 wonderful years and their four children: Russ (Shannon) of Steinbach; Kathleen (Bryan) Dueck and their children Jensen, Colton, and Madison of Riverton; Paul (Robyn) of Steinbach; Andrea (Garvis) Bonkowski and their 5 children Wyatt, Blayze, Skye, Jagger and Onyx of Riverton. Dora was born on August 20, 1942 in Steinbach to her loving parents Peter and Aganetha Rempel. Dora was the fourth born of six children: Bernard (Bertha - Deceased); Jake (Anne); Peter (Shirley - Deceased); Helen (John) Banman; Martha (Ben) Peters, along with many nieces and nephews and a host of dear friends. For the past 27 years Dora felt privileged to be employed by Derksen Printers and always felt that she was a part of an extended family. She deeply respected and enjoyed her fellow employees and had the utmost admiration for her employer, Rick Derksen. Dora will forever be remembered for her timeless elegance, her contagious laughter, tireless energy, her zest for life and her unwavering servitude towards her family. She was gracious and abundant to all those who knew her and loved her. She was always so proud of her husband, her children, their spouses and her 8 precious grandchildren. Dora, alongside Bill, was a devout and faithful servant of our Lord, Jesus Christ, at Springs Church. The Funeral Service will be held Monday, March 5th, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Springs Church, 179 Chapel Dr, Steinbach with Pastor Jeff Romas officiating. Interment at the Heritage Cemetery will follow. A viewing and gathering of family and friends will be held at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, 150 Penfeld Dr, Steinbach on Sunday, March 4th at 7:00 p.m. with a devotional at 7:30 p.m., as well as a viewing at the church prior to the service. Donations in Dora’s memory may be made to Springs Inner City at the Springs Church.
