<p>Margaret Toews (nee Dyck), 86, of Steinbach, MB, formerly of Grunthal, MB, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 28, 2019 at 8:05 p.m. at Bethesda Place, Steinbach, MB. with family by her side.</p> <p>She was predeceased by her loving husband Henry in 2009, four brothers: Diedrich, Jake, Peter, Abe, one sister Annie and numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.</p> <p>She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Elmer Toews (Eileen), Elaine Kornelson (John), Edwin Toews (Lynne), Edna Funk (Lorne), Earl Toews (Maureen), Earlene Funk(Gary), 22 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. It was very special to her that one grandson and two great grandchildren shared her birth date.</p> <p>She is also survived by her siblings: Diedrich Dyck, Isaac Dyck(Tina), Bill (Doris), Betty Reimer, Tina Harms; numerous nieces and nephews and numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.</p> <p>Her last year on earth was spent in total earthly darkness but not spiritual darkness. She was a loving example of what it meant to grow old gracefully. She had battled failing health for many years in the form of breast and bowel cancer, two mild strokes, failing eyesight, and lastly bladder cancer and dementia. She always had a positive attitude, loved to sing, enjoyed family visits and loved to pray.<br />Her eyesight has now been restored and her body is healed.</p> <p><br />A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB.
