Obituary of C. W. Hiebert

Peacefully, Tuesday, January 30, 2007, C.W. Hiebert passed away at the Rest Haven Nursing Home in Steinbach at the age of 90. He was predeceased by his wife, Mary in November 2004, his parents, three brothers and five sisters. He leaves to mourn his children Al and Lorna Hiebert of Steinbach, Phyllis and Thom Morris of Deerfield, Illinois, U.S.A., Val and Gary Schellenberg of Winnipeg and Dennis and Judy Hiebert of Steinbach; nine grandchildren, Rhonda and Jim Friesen, Kevin and Melodie Schellenberg, Jonathan Hiebert, Dave and Leanne Schellenberg, Rob Morris, Paul Hiebert, Danielle and Jennifer Morris and Kyle Hiebert; as well as four great-grandchildren, Matthew, Laura and Sarah Friesen and Jenelle Schellenberg. He is also survived by brothers John and Abe, sister Kay Davies, numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews. C.W. was well known locally as a barber/jeweler for almost five decades and as a deacon at EEFC for almost three decades. The funeral service for C.W. Hiebert will take place Tuesday, February 6, 2007 at 11:00 AM at the Emmanuel Evangelical Free Church, 360 McKenzie, Steinbach, with interment at Heritage Cemetery. Viewing will take place at Birchwood Funeral Chapel on February 5 at 7:00 PM with a devotional to follow at 7:30 PM and prior to the service. Special thanks are extended to the staff at Rest Haven for their support and loving care.
