Obituary of Helen Bella
Our dear mother, Helen Bella, passed away on Tuesday, December 24, 2019 at Bethesda Regional Health Centre, Steinbach, Manitoba, at the age of 85 years.
Mom was born on April 27, 1934 to Bill and Annie Krasniuk at their home in Lonesand, Manitoba. Mom was the 10th child of 12. Mom’s siblings were: Peter, Mary, Nellie, Frances, Jack, John, Steve, Alex, Mike, Jean, and Nick. Mom was the last surviving sibling of her family.
Mom enjoyed horse back riding when she was growing up. She often told us stories about walking to and from school and doing chores on the farm. She later met a handsome gentleman, Namko Mike Bella, dating for a while and later getting married and taking up residence in Middlebro, Manitoba. She enjoyed the farm life and gardening. She would later do homecare and fostering. Dad had a stroke which was hard on Mom. Mom and Dad then moved to Steinbach, Manitoba.
Mom left us with memories that we can cherish for the rest of our lives.
Left to cherish Mom’s memory are her children: Verna, Edward, and Patty (Steve); and her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her daughter Bonnie, at birth in 1965, her son-in-law, Tim in 1986 and her husband, Mike in 1995.
As per her wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family service will be held at a later date.
The family would like to thank Dr. Reimer and staff at Bethesda Regional Health Centre, who tried to make Mom as comfortable as could be during her stay.
