Obituary of Mary Alvina Klippenstein
It is with both joy and sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Klippenstein, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at the age of 86.
Mom will be lovingly remembered by Edwin, her husband of 64 years, two sons: Murray, Allan (Darcy) and one daughter: Fran, 10 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, two brothers: Ed (Alice) and Tony (Olive), nieces, nephews and many friends.
She was predeceased by one daughter, Sharon Unger, three brothers: Jake, John and Neil; two sisters: Helen Hiebert, Anne Unrau and six brothers in infancy.
Mom gave her heart to Christ as a young girl and lived a full life of commitment to Him. She married Dad on Aug. 14, 1955 and together they served the Lord as pastor couple throughout their married life in Altona, Dominion City, Steinbach, Hague, Austin, Wynyard, Grunthal, and Winnipeg.
Mom was a very kind, generous, and gifted person. She loved her family dearly. She was drawn to children and had friends of all ages. Music was one of her many interests. She taught herself to play piano and also enjoyed other hobbies such as sketching, puzzling, knitting, crocheting, quilting, sewing, reading and cooking.
She will be deeply missed and cherished forever by those who knew her but we have the assurance of meeting her again in Heaven.
Come & Go Visitation will be held on Friday, March 6, 2020 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Birchwood Funeral Chapel 162 PTH 52 W, Steinbach
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Steinbach CMC 479 Hanover St,, Steinbach, MB with interment at Heritage Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mary may be made to 100 Huntley Street or Crossroads Ministry.
