Obituary of Jean Alice Tourond

Jean Alice Tourond (nee Coss), 64 years old, of Winnipeg, MB, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 29, 2020 at St. Boniface Hospital, Winnipeg, MB., due to medical complications.

Jean was born on June 30, 1955 in Winnipeg, MB to Telesphore and Eva Coss. She was the second child of five.

Jean's favourite past times were watching movies and making crafts like photo albums for her grandchildren and special occasions. She enjoyed spending time with family and even ventured out on occasion to the arena to watch her granddaughter play hockey. Jean spent countless summers picking blueberries in Sandilands, MB with her family and selling them on the roadside. She was known for her caring and laid back nature.

Jean is survived by her sons: Paul (Jennifer), John (Miranda), David (Tara); grandchildren: Trinity, Lucas , Aurora, Alyssa, Cayson, Brittany, Braeden; special friend Keith, father Telesphore (Denise); brothers: John (Linda), Pete (Shirley); former husband Brian, many nieces and nephews and other family and friends.

Jean is preceded in death by Mother Eva, brother Art, sister Rosa and grandson Zachary. 

Unfortunately, due to Covid-19 no service can be held at this time. A celebration of life and interment will be at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be to the Manitoba Lung Association or Addictions Foundation of Manitoba. The family of Jean Tourond wishes to thank everyone for their kind words and support during this difficult time.
