Obituary of John M. Wiebe

It is with heavy hearts the family announces on April 6, 2020 John M Wiebe went to his heavenly home to be with his lord and savior.

John is lovingly remembered by his wife Nettie and their children: Priscilla & Gerald, Stephen & Raffaella, Rachel & Mike, grandson Caleb & Rhealyn.

John was predeceased by his parents Peter and Anne Wiebe, in-laws David P and Agathe Hiebert, son-in-law Alden Kroeker, brother David M Wiebe, brothers-in-law Ben Buhr, Leonard Wiebe, and Ben Rempel.

Dad was born June 8, 1937 at home on the Wiebe family farm in Grunthal Manitoba. At the age of 11 John accepted Jesus Christ into his heart.

John worked many careers from driving truck, building homes, shops, barns and owned his own construction company. As well as a beef farm, John became a business Administrator at the SBC. As a faithful servant, John was called to be a Deacon at the CMC Church which John and Nettie served their whole marriage. As Deacon, John and Nettie made many visitations with the church seniors visiting and singing with them. As God's faithful servant John was elected as pastor at the CMC until his retirement.

After retirement John also served as chaplain for 2 years at the Resthaven in Steinbach which he enjoyed very much and making many friends with clients and their families. John and Nettie served the lord in being his faithful servants in song and ministries.

John had many interests, he loved music and singing, playing his guitar and other instruments, building homes, golfing, watching sports, visiting and having coffee with family and friends. Us his children spent many hours with dad at his construction sites, dad bought us horses, snow mobiles and so much more.

We are thankful for the love that Mom and Dad have shown us as being our parents. We are thankful for the love dad showed to everyone whether family, friend or a stranger. John was a very caring man and loved everyone. We are proud of the legacy he left behind. Dad will forever be remembered in our hearts.

A private family graveside service was held.
