Obituary of Martin Bedient

It is with a heavy heart that the family of Martin Bedient is announcing his untimely passing at the very young age of 44 yrs old.

He was tragically taken from us on Tuesday, May 19, 2020 in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Marty was born on January 16, 1976 in St Boniface hospital. He grew up in Ste Anne, MB. He was predeceased by his memère Heloïse Chaput Magnan & pepère Marius Magnan, his uncles; Gilbert Magnan and Aimé Legal.

He leaves to mourn, his two children he loved very much, Kaitlyn & Matthew, his Memère Aline Legal & pepère Louis Legal, his mother Nicole Magnan Bedient, his Step-father Brian Bedient, his sister Monique (Squanto), his brother Bruno (Angie), his sister Natalie (Trevor), his nieces & nephews whom he adored, Tristan, Ethan, Jordan, Sky-Lynn, Autumn, Snow, Summer, Cody (Nitro), Jazmine, Caleb & Mason, many friends & cousins. 

Marty was an avid hockey player in the junior Ste Anne Aces, he helped his team come in 2nd in the provincials. 

A mellow quiet kind of guy, with a big heart that everyone loved. His non judgemental, non prejudiced and casual attitude made him popular in his circle of friends especially the girls but he remained unaware of his good looks and awesome personality.

A roofer by trade, Marty became precise & meticulously fast In the roofing business.

Marty was always wanting to save people from themselves & trying so hard to save himself last. Marty was the protector of our family and will forever leave a big hole in our lives.

Cremation has taken place. The family is overwhelmed by the loss and thanks everyone who has been reaching out.

A celebration of life in honor of Marty will be held at his family’s homestead. (due to COVID-19 the event will be by invitation only)

In lieu of flowers, the family requests a memorial contribution be sent to the AFM or any mental health organization in honour of Marty.
