Obituary of Ernie Champagne

Ernie Champagne, 72 years of age, of Steinbach, MB, passed away on Friday, November 13, 2020 at Bethesda Regional Health Centre, Steinbach, MB.

Ernie will be lovingly remembered by Virna, his wife of 50 years; sons: Darren and Ian (Kristen); and grandchildren: Brody, Avery, Willow and Aunya. He is also survived by his brothers: Fred (Shirley), Richard (Yvonne), Craig (Patsy), Randy (Lee Anna); and sisters: Kathy and Anne (Stan) Morrissette; 5 stepsisters; 3 stepbrothers and their families.

He was predeceased by his parents: Celestin (Les) and Margaret Champagne; stepmother Tina; brother Billy; nephew Christopher and great niece Emily.

Ernie was an amazing and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend who always went out of his way to help others.

He touched many lives and will be missed by all who knew him.

We wish to thank all the doctors and nurses at the Bethesda Hospital and the ER for the great care they gave Ernie.
