Obituary of Leona Sweatman
Leona Margaret Sweatman, 78, of Winnipeg, MB., passed away peacefully, following a lengthy illness on Thursday, November 19, 2020 at her residence.
She is survived by her husband Dennis, two daughters, two sisters, one brother, and 14 grandchildren.
Margaret & Dennis were married for 41 years. She retired from the Riel School Division in 2003, where she was an instructional assistant.
Her hobbies and interests included: family, reading, The Bible, Ladies’ Prayer, painting, decorating for all the seasons, writing & coffee.
She was active in church, Sunday School, Bridges for Peace, Canadian Institute for the Study of Antisemitism, and Shabbat Club.
Leona will be remembered for being forgiving, kind, gentle, compassionate, intuitive, creative, artistic, expressive, passionate & feisty.
A graveside service was held Monday, November 23, 2020 at 11:00 am at the Blumenort Community Church Cemetery, Blumenort, MB.

A memorial will be announced once Covid restrictions have been lifted.
