Obituary of Theresa Connelly

We are heartbroken to announce the passing of our Mom, Grandma and Great-Grandmother, at the age of 89 years, of La Broquerie, MB, on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at Villa Youville Personal Care Home in St. Anne, MB. She leaves to cherish her memory seven children, Anna Penner (Jake); Randy Delipper (Jocelyne); David Delipper (Odette); Lynne Frechette (Ernie); Patricia Delipper; Melissa Ford; Dwayne Delipper (Audrey); along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mom was a most incredibly gifted woman who loved to bless others with the "fruits of her labors"! She was a baker (if you visited on bread day you left with a loaf or two). Or cinnamon buns (still warm, hand-delivered to whomever was on mom's heart that day). She made her famous soups, froze them & once again, gave them to us all. Her giving spirit continued with knitting hundreds of pairs of mitts & toques over many years, of which she sent to the schools, because "you never know when you lost your mitts & needed another one" she'd say.

Mom was a very intelligent but humble woman. At 77, a computer was bought for her & mom began "surfing the web, to research things" and then would discuss what she found out. Emails with great attachments were now a new & wonderful past time.

Mom was diagnosed with Heart Failure in 2015. Being told she will likely slow down made her more determined than ever to move forward. And so she bought a walker & said she "test rode it down the sidewalk." Everywhere mom went she stopped to chat with past coworkers, acquaintances, friends...

We are hurting that our mom, gramma & great-gramma is no longer with us. But we know she is celebrating life in its fullness in Heaven! Like her sister said, "Heaven must smell like cinnamon buns today!" We thank you for the many prayers that have been said for mom, us as her family & for her siblings!

Our sincerest of thanks to all who were part of moms life! Dr Mark Duerksen, Ramona (mom loved your joking with her!), Joseph (LaB pharmacy who was wonderful with mom), the AMAZING staff at Villa Youville, and SO many more!

Due to Covid-19, we will hold a funeral at a time and date when it is safe. David will keep Mom safe with him until we can properly celebrate her life.
