My condolences to the Hiebert Family. I have fond memories of visiting Auntie Amy and the cousins in Niverville. There were many happy times spent at her place or my parents' home - making homemade Nutella, fixing my cat's ears, family Christmas gatherings, giving me heck for reading instead of playing with the kids and she was right - I did need to get my head out of the books. Lol Auntie Amy was a bit intimating when I was little but she had a witty tongue, a wonderful sense of humor, big smile and a loving heart. Hiebert Family - may God bless you and keep you and give you peace in your time of loss.

My deepest sympathy to the family. After I moved away I sometimes remembered the two hour coffee breaks we had when I dropped in for a few minutes :). Amy was a delight to be with on bus excursions. The Town will surely miss her. Rest In Peace.

Our deepest condolences to Amy’s family. Amy was a great friend to all who knew her. She gave her all in whatever she did. She was a wonderful friend to Mom Martens and for that we were very grateful. Rest in peace Amy, it is well deserved.

Dear family,
As a distant relative, through Henry, her beloved, Amy loomed larger than life, in our lives, even as neighbours, for whom we babysat; later my father and I as a teen, worked for Henry, building houses, in Niverville & Wpg, until I broke my foot, just before school started again.
Much later, after Bev and I were married, I was privileged to be her co-worker, on the Niverville Hanover school bus runs driver roster, after Henry had died.
I remember the strong relationship my father had with his cousin, Henry, and consequently, benefits accrued to all of us. She did not hesitate to challenge/discipline us, without regard for “normal” social decorum. Her bus driving career reminds me of something Henry said to me, as I contemplated an invitation to begin working for F&R Trucking: “Once a trucker, [driver], always a trucker [driver]!”
I wonder whether that drive to drive things might apply to every aspect of Amy’s life.
By the record of what I have witnessed, and learned from others, she will remain a force to be reckoned with.
Her strong personality, deep sense of dignity, and potent sense of justice, were palpable, possibly even intimidating to some of us of softer sensibilities, or lesser measures of conviction.
Of late, she and I reconnected but once, Feb/19, at NCU Manor. She was instantly warmly, assertively welcoming of me, sitting down to chat for a few minutes.
Amy, God grant you the well deserved rest from your labours, as we join your family in giving sincere thanks for having enjoyed your friendship, however long or a short the time.

I was so surprised and shocked to hear of Amy's passing. She was a dear friend and confidant for me as a teenager. I was one of their babysitters when Reg and Darryl were young. I was so happy when I realized she was living in the manor where we reconnected many years later. She will always remain a dear friend in my heart and memories. She will be sorely missed by her family and all those who ever knew her.

What a beautiful picture of your mom, it captures her perfectly! Was a little scared of her as a kid. Her bark was bigger then her bite. It didn’t help that Dawn and I were always up to something silly. Later Amy became a neighbour and always found time to chat with me when we would meet on the street. She was a testament to strength and perseverance. I have missed you on the street and will always have fond memories of you.

I’ll never forget the day I heard of Henry’s accident. I watched and wondered how Amy would raise four kids by herself. Well she sure did and what a great job she did. Life wasn’t easy for Amy but you would never of known. She was always smiling I know the ache in your hearts right now, always know she loved you very much and one day you will be united again. My sincere condolences to the family. Burt and Louise

I never met Mrs.Hiebert, but I am good friends with her son Reg, and his wife Kelly. I have also had the pleasure of spending time with Darryl, Kathy and their family. I am sending my sincere condolences to the entire family. My daughter and I think the world of Reg. He has been such a good friend to us. Reading this beautiful tribute of his mother, I understand where he gets his love for hockey and sports. It sounds like she was able to touch so many lives while raising her children...and that is a wonderful legacy.
