Grandpa, I love you so much. You gave my life so much joy and happiness. Thank you for always being there to take me for tractor rides, for me to sit and have Sunday brunch with, for just being an amazing grandpa. I love you and miss you so much. Love "your girl" and I'll miss you forever

I love you so much, grandpa.
When I think of you, your big beautiful brown eyes is the first thing I see. I see you smiling and whistling at the babies in the family, I feel your cheek on my lips from all the hello and goodbye kisses, I think of you walking through the yard in your coveralls, to and from your shop, hands grasped together in-front of you. I think of your watermelon garden and saving my seeds for you.
It feels like the next time I come over you’ll be walking out post nap with your little white shirt tucked in and your pants and socks pulled up so high.
You’re my favourite inventor. As you grew older, things got heavier and bulkier, but you invented until the moment you lay to rest. Constantly using old metal or wood scraps. One of the most beautiful minds I have ever known and you are a constant inspiration. Everyone who met you is so lucky to have met you.
Now you can watch the rest of the town develop in a more comfortable seat, never worry about having to eat broccoli or a salad, and build all of the things you ever dreamed about building with unlimited supply.
Saying I miss you is an understatement.
Sending you hugs & kisses everyday Grandpa!

Uncle Charlie was one of my favorite Uncles of all time. He will be missed by many. My Dad, Uncle Charlie's older brother of 4 years only, shared with me that Uncle Charlie was instrumental in my Dad's Salvation, which I was unaware of till just recently. So "THANK YOU" Uncle Charlie. I don't think its ever to late to say THANK YOU. Your service was VERY well done. YOUR family made me proud watching it. I'm sure you were pleased as well by it. I won't say "Good Bye" Uncle Charlie...it's just "SO LONG"..."UNTILL WE MEET AGAIN" Love you, Your Niece Elaine Ramjeeawon

Charlie was a great landscaper, his yard was always immaculate! Being the always helpful neighbour, he helped me with grading my yard before seeding grass. When he came by, I proudly showed him my sprouting front lawn. His first comment was - where in the world did you get that grass seed? Here, let me give you a name and address for something much better. And so . . . my back yard looks a lot greener and better than my front lawn, thanks to him! What a wonderful, caring man!

Friends often asked who the people were in the picture frame on our wall. I would simply answer "That's grandpa Charles and grandma Rose", the reason why I'm here today. Thanks to his (and others) sponsorship in 1979, our family was able to stay together. A miracle for a family 5. I was lucky enough to have his presence in my life growing up. Visits may have been long and in between but every visit was as if we had just seen each other the weekend before. He was one of the reasons why I had such a great childhood. He holds a special place in my heart and am happy I got to see him in 2018. May he rest in peace.
Love you always.

My amazing Grandpa has gone home. He was a stone in a river, a solid purchase in the constant movement around him. He was many things, a jack of all trades, but probably most known for being a tinker. The things he invented were always interesting, most of them were useful, and a few of them might have taken your hand off if you weren't careful. He loved music, especially in his later years when Laura would play ukulele for him. He loved his family, even running around the house after his great grandchildren. And most importantly he loved Jesus. I never once saw him raise his voice in anger, he had a patience and love for others that I can only aspire to. I love you Grandpa and I am so happy that you are now rejoicing in heaven, free of pain and suffering.

Grandpa,
I don't even know where to begin. From all the tractor rides you took me on when I was a little boy, to all the projects we worked on throughout the years, even as a recently as this past summer. I was already imagining all the projects we might do in your shop together once the snow melts this spring and I'm sure that you were to. I can't stop crying. I can't stop thinking about all of our memories together. How you always cheated in dominoes but we let you get away with it, or when you would pretend to sleep on the couch but as soon as Grandma left the house you got up and went to your shop to work on projects she had deemed to dangerous, or how you would turn into a complete goofball when the great grand kids were over, or when any of us grandkids would play you music how you would just lay on your same couch with a smile across your face, or how you and I were always the only ones to ask Grandma for a side bowl for our salads, or how whenever we were in your shop together you would always be singing in low-German... I never understood any of the words but I always loved listening to it because I knew it always meant you were happy. I never stopped learning from you and I know you still had more to show me. I know this past month wasn't easy for you. I try to take comfort in knowing that you weren't alone when you passed, and that you were in peace. Over these past couple years, you had sometimes said that you were ready to go and meet Jesus. It was always hard for me to hear because I've never been ready let you go, but now I'm trying my best to tell myself that you were ready and this is what you wanted. Myself and the rest of the family are all so blessed to have had you in our lives.
I will love you forever Grandpa,
Your grandson,
Josh

Condolences to the family. I worked with Charlie at the Landmark Feedmill. Always a big smile. "Unfailingly cheerful" is a good description for Charlie. "Honorable Discharge"

To my grandfather of thirty five years. You were a rock in my life. A pure joy and delight. I can hear you chuckle and smile as you give a little laugh to the sounds of us kids grand kids and great grand kids around you. We built memories everywhere we went from the shop work to the fishing shores, garden chores or simply playing trains, I adored my time with you. I remember so much from all my years filled with you. You gave me all I needed to show my kids how to be creative and grow. A sharp dressed man hardly a hair out of place, a knight to follow through this strife of life. Me ears hear you as you sing with delight. I’ll miss you till we again on those beautiful shores by and by.
Your grandson Timothy ( your little boy)
