Obituary of Elmer John Christian Hixt

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Elmer, loving husband, father, grandfather & uncle who passed away in the early morning hours of Thursday, February 4, 2021.

Elmer leaves to mourn his wife Diana of 57 years; Son Barry (Amber) and granddaughters Jazmyn (Nick); Tayler & Avaree. Elmer also leaves to mourn his nieces and nephews.

Family was important to Elmer and after meeting Diana he was ready to start a family. They lived in Winnipeg and in 1984 Elmer started Elbar Erectors Inc. and later relocated to Anola, Manitoba employing many local tradesman. In 2018 Elmer’s illness led to the closure of Elbar. Sadly Elmer battled with illness the last few years of his life.

We would like to thank all staff at Ste. Anne’s hospital.

As per Elmer’s wishes cremation has taken place.
