Obituary of Liliane Ducharme (nee Nadon)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother Liliane on Monday, March 1, 2021.

Survived by husband Dominique, they spent many years living a quiet country life in rural Manitoba where they enjoyed and cared for the many pets our mother so loved to surround herself with in her retirement years.

She will be fondly remembered by her children Roger (Cheryl), Jacqueline (Scott), Denis (Jeri), Pauline, and by her numerous grand children and great grand children.

Liliane is predeceased by friend and our father Laurent Brûlé.

As we reminisce over our mother, we find ourselves in awe of the boundless energy and sense of adventure that she had throughout her lifetime. She was talented and worked hard at whatever she undertook to achieve, and carried out a lifetime of pursuits.

Throughout our childhood our mother wanted us to see and experience so much, from the many long road trips we undertook across eastern Canada to spend summers with our relations, to local escapades at places such as museums, parks, beaches, rodeo festivals and fairs, along with the various seasonal parades and celebrations held throughout our city and province. Ever the daring adventurer, she was fearless on a skidoo, and we had many laughs and adventures over this activity! She also loved music and dancing and instilled this love in each of us by keeping us entertained with various types of music to listen and dance to, as well as lessons for us to play instruments such as the guitar, piano, drums and the accordion. We certainly never had time to be bored! She was also an amazing baker, cook, and gardener. A talented seamstress, she sewed much of her own clothing throughout the years, as well as creating wardrobes for us when we were younger. She also had a tremendous love for her pets, and for a time, we even had a few large aquariums with tropical fish, some birds, a cat and two dogs in which she so enjoyed learning about and caring for. We cherish these memories of our mother.

A private celebration to honour our mother will be held at a future date.

Repose en paix, chère Maman.
