Obituary of Larry Friesen

A memorial service for Larry Friesen will be held on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Cemetery, Steinbach, MB. (Corner of Brandt St. and McKenzie Ave.)

An outdoor gathering will follow at the home of Rob and Dianne Friesen. Please RSVP to Dianne Friesen (for the gathering) and ask for address via messenger or text. Please bring lawn chairs.

Larry Wayne Friesen, 50 years of age, passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Thursday, March 4, 2021 at St. Boniface Hospital, Winnipeg, MB.

He is predeceased by his brother Dale in 1979 and his father Leonard in 1996.

Larry is survived by his mother Kay Friesen (Roger Saindon), sister Debbie Friesen (Ted Vandal) Jocie, Charli and their children. Brother Rick (Brianne) Kaythia, Lennon, Tanisha and Braydon. Brother Rob (Dianne), Josh (Martha), Felicia and their children.

Larry was born on May 28, 1970 to Leonard and Kay Friesen in Steinbach, MB.

He was an easy going, friendly guy who was always willing to help someone in need. His business, Galaxy Towing was a great way to help those that needed it. After suffering a few setbacks in his life, he moved to Stonewall where he found some peace and quiet.

He loved animals and was always rescuing stray cats and dogs and giving them a home or finding one for them.

He also enjoyed living in the country where he could grow his own food, watch the deer play in his front yard and enjoy the solitude and quiet.

Adding to his antique collection was always a new adventure for him.

Larry faced some personal struggles as well as health issues but he always said that God was looking out for him. He is now at peace with his Lord.

Rest well my friend, we will meet again.
