My sympathies to Mary and family on the passing of Henry.
My first memories of Henry go back to 1945 on the farm, then sightly later at his dad's shop in St. Anne. Later in the fifties Henry started working for Dad at Hanover Electric, on main street in Steinbach. I was still in school but spent summers and after school hours working with Dad and Henry. Henry was like an older brother, hard working and caring. Jobs separated our lives, I moved to Ontario, I missed him. On an occasional visit back home I had enjoyable meals with Mary and Henry.

Oh Mary, I am saddened to hear this news.
My sincere condolences to you and the family.
As my brother said, Henry was one of the "good guys" that we have in our lives. Always one to lend a hand to help someone in need, and time meant very little to him when he was having fun visiting with a friend. Henry was such a loyal and deep seeded friend to our Dad ever since those Silberfeld days. Our hunting trips were filled with side splitting laughter as Henry & Dad provided the entertainment. Henry's memory for jokes always amazed me and any encounter with him always left me feeling happy. He was truly a special man, and it is an honor to all of those many many friends that you referred to, to have known Henry.
Stay strong if you can Mary, and please know that an abundance of people have cried with you and will care about you always. By God's Grace I know that Henry and Jake will have played a few games of cribbage by now and that the angels will be laughing with them!
Take care of yourself, I love you!
