Obituary of Irvine John Doerksen

Irvine John Doerksen passed away peacefully, at the age of 82 years, at his home on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at 10:55 a.m. with his wife and family by his side.

Leaving behind to cherish his memory are: his loving wife Helena of nearly 59 years; his children: Ken Doerksen, Luella (Bob), Neufeld, Verna (Jeff) Ramsay, Shirley (Greg) Unrau, Brenda (Gil) Landry, Sandra (Brian) Wall, Wes (Josie) Doerksen and Lorna (David) Dyck; his grandchildren: Destiny Neufeld, Sylvia & Nakia Hildebrand, Celina & Calvin Unrau, Leah & Quin Landry, Tyson & Tanner Wall, Coen, Lily Ann, Sara & Nicholas Doerksen, and Kamea Dyck; his sister Helena and brother Abe.

He was predeceased by four children: Peter, Tina, Harry and Lena; his parents John & Tina; and two brothers Jacob & Pete.

The family wishes to thank the doctors and nursing staff at Bethesda Regional Health Centre and the Home care staff for their care and compassion.  They would also like to extend their thanks to family & friends for their prayers and support.

A come and go viewing for ten people at a time will be held on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB. Please line up in your car and wait to enter the building.

A livestreamed funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 18, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB.
