Obituary of Terri Roy

It is with heavy hearts we announce that Terri Roy passed away peacefully at the Ste. Anne Villa Youville on Monday March 22, 2021.

Dearly loved mother of Colleen (Ken) Levenec and cherished grandmother "(Grammy)" of Devon (Kylee), Meagan and Breanne. Dear sister of Richard (Wilma) Rauth and Leona (Jim) Furlong. Terri was predeceased by her loving parents Jack and Katie Rauth.

Terri was raised on a farm in Prairie Grove. She was very adventurous and after graduating she headed to California. She also lived in Surrey, British Columbia for a couple of years, eventually coming back to Manitoba, where she built a house and hobby farm near Ste. Anne. Her Love of horses never faltered no matter where she lived.

At the age of 50, she graduated from the Faculty of Social Work at the University of Manitoba and worked for Child and Family Services in her home community. Terri was always feisty and full of life but at the age of 65 she was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease and her mobility and health began to decline. Always one to make the best of things, she purchased a golf cart in order to get to the barn to care for her quarter horses. She will be remembered for her determination, lively spirit and love of nature.

Terri’s life will be celebrated with family and friends when flowers are in full bloom at the Sunnyside Cemetery.

In her memory, please consider a donation to the Parkinson’s Foundation or your favorite charity.
