Jarold and I are saddened to hear of Ronald's passing. He was a great friend and cousin. Jarold had a lot of fun growing up with him and having summer holidays at the farm and enjoyed the barn dances. Jarold and I danced our first polka to his band. Margaret we will keep you and all of your family in our prayers. Love, Jarold and Gail Kehler

This gentleman's love of music moved me to tears. When the Mitchell Senior Choir sang with/for Rest Haven residents, he sat near the front, and he was fully engaged the whole time. It was wonderful to hear and see his participation. My husband (Gerald, MSC director) and I send our sincere condolences and ask God to comfort you. May the music your husband, father and grandfather loved so much continue to bless you.

Dear Margaret & Family;
My condolences to you all as you bid farewell to your dear Husband, Dad, Grandpa ... I knew him as such a gentle person. I first met him back in the late 70's when I came to work at Schmidtke Millwork as receptionist. I got to know Margaret & the family, and it was plain to see they shared a lot of love and fun times. Over the years (I left Schmidtke's in 1982) our paths would cross ... as I was secretary at Woodlawn elementary school and then S.R.S.S. At any point during these past 40ish years, if ever I would meet Ron, his eyes would light up as he was always eager to connect with people he knew, no matter how long ago. The most recent connection we made was when he moved into Rest Haven when our Mother (Tina Kehler) moved in. I will always remember the first time we met in the dining area - the look of surprise on both of our faces - I immediately recognized him and he immediately recognized me. We had many passing visits as we visited our Mom. As our mom passed away early 2019, and then COVID emerged, I lost touch with Ron and sometimes would wonder how he was doing? I can rest assured, his family did all they could to keep him company during this time. He ALWAYS talked about how fortunate he was that he was so cared for and so appreciated everything that was done for him. Ron, may you rest in peace. May your memories be a constant blessing to your family. Paula (& Andy) Kehler
