Growing up I always thought he was one of the cool guys, One of the original cool OG's. He used to come to the farm years ago
and always thought he was one of my coolest relatives. I even got my ear pierced because i thought
his was so darn cool. Wish I'd have spent some time in the later years but such is life. Rest in peace
Cousin! My condolences to the ones he left behind

WE were so shocked and so sad to hear of Wally's accident and passing. We all knew and loved Wally, and his whole family, through their life and times at MCI. I remember recruiting Wally for the Dragon Boat Teams, and year after year, he would volunteer his time and talents. I knew of Wally's Faith in God, and I know he is in Heaven, BUT, too soon. I bet Wally will plan a fishing trip with Jesus, and their friends, soon after he arrived. Wally's family has been so important to MCI, and Wally was one of the best and loyal workers, that many of his MCI friends witnessed. Wally and I shared many good stories, about our faith, fishing, and family, during our near 30 years of shared friendship. I Pray for Wally's whole family, during their time of mourning, as Wally still Loves You from Heaven. I will absolutely miss him and his many strengths as a Christian, a co-worker and a dear friend. Blessings From; Doug Purdey

My husband and I worked with Wally for many years, I participated on the MCI dragon boat teams and always had fun laughing it up with Wally when he was driving the coach to our races. We also talked many times about our places that we both had at the lake in Minaki, Ontario. Since I am retired and now live at the lake, it was a lot of fun when he and his buddy Woody showed up at the dock and we we’re able catch up and enjoy a few beers together. You will be missed my friend!

Our deepest sympathies to the family. Ewald and I have had many fun times with Wally at hockey games when Nick and Kyle played, and we enjoyed serving with Wally in church. Wally was a true and genuine man who loved the Lord and his family. His soft and gentle spirit was evident when you interacted with with, but so also was his strength and conviction.
Kids, your dad left behind a legacy you can be proud of. His prayers on your behaves are not bound by time in the heavenly realm, and God holds them for you. Your dad loved you all deeply and we continue to pray for you.
Ewald and Debbie

I have known Wally for 18 years while working at MCI. He was one of the kindest people I have met. He was always willing to lend a hand when I needed something at work. One of my fondest memories of Wally, was sharing the co-captain role racing Dragon Boats. Whenever he spoke about his children, he would light up, especially when he was taking them to the lake to go fishing. You will be missed my friend.
