Deepest sympathies go to the family from Lawrence and me. I recall when we moved to Roseau River Pete asked where the donuts are. I asked what he meant by that, he said well you live across from the Bakery now! Vichnaya Pam'yat!
Sympathies to the family on the loss of Peter. I still recall the days he owned the fertilizer business just outside of town. He was such a friendly man when I’d stop by. He shared many stories of owning the business and the types of customers he served. He liked to talk and catch up with what was going on in Roseau River. After a rainfall you’d be sure he’d ask if the River had come up at all. He always had stories to share and he made you feel as though you were right there in the story as he gave such great detail and had such an amazing memory!! Going to miss our chats and catching up!! Rest easy Pete!!
I met Pete in 1972 , I was a young guy who joined a custom harvesting crew from Arnaud, he was quite a bit older than I was but we had no problems getting along he was such a nice guy. I along with another crew member stayed in his little camper. We spent the summer together working from Oklahoma to North Dakota. That summer still brings back lots of good memories many years later. Pete will always be remembered as a good friend. Bill Sawatsky
