Obituary of Margaret Pomrenke

Margaret Evelyn Pomrenke, age 94, of Winnipeg passed away peacefully on Tuesday,  January 25, 2022 at Misericordia Place. We would like to thank all the staff for being there for her.

She was predeceased by her loving husband, Emil, of almost 65 years, her mother Amanda, her father Fred Felsch, and her brother Wilf. She is survived by her children Kathy, Marlene, and Mark and her grandchildren Jasmine, Aiden, and Ethan as well as her daughter-in-law Huyen and sister-in-law Velma. 

Margaret was born and raised on a farm on the bald Prairie near Emerson, Manitoba. She would hear the train whistling as it passed by and dream of a world beyond. Her Happy Place has always been in Southern California where she and her family would often live in winters and then she and Emil would visit there later on. Special mention must be made of her special friend Dorothy Daw who still lives next to the orange groves. 

Mother, friend, and artist you lived a full life and will be dearly missed.

A memorial will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers please donate to a charity of your choice.
