Obituary of Wanda Hoehn
With mixed feelings of both joy and sadness, the family of Wanda Hoehn (nee Schwarz) wishes to announce her peaceful passing on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, in Morris, Manitoba, at the age of 98. While we mourn for our loss of a beloved mother, Oma, sister and friend, we also rejoice knowing that she is now with her loving Savior, Jesus Christ.
Wanda was born on July 9, 1923, in Hochberg, Russia. She later emigrated with her family from Russia to Canada, settling in Kleefeld, Manitoba. It was here where she met her beloved husband, Otto Hoehn, and together they built a life of farming and raising their two children, Allan and Shirley.
Throughout her life Wanda enjoyed 4H, sewing circle, bible study classes at Steinbach Bible College, and took great pride in being a Sunday School teacher to many children at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Wanda leaves behind to mourn: her children, Allan and Shirley; grandchildren: Taija-Rae, Andrew (Romelda), Devin and Joseph; great-grandchildren: Annabelle, Mackenna and Adrian; siblings: Herta and brother-in-law Peter Enns, sister-in-law Hilda (Art) Reimer-Schwarz, brother-in-law Bob (Hilda) Matsuo, sister-in-law Marieanne (Albert) Schwarz; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband Otto Hoehn, siblings: Suzanna, Hugo, Peter, Arthur (Art), Hildegard (Hilda) Matsuo and Albert; and her parents Peter K. Schwarz and Margareta (Baumgart).
